Dr. Nguyen specialized in Therapeutic Endoscopies, especially ERCP to treat biliary and pancreatic diseases; Sub-Mucosal Resection of localized intestinal lesions, including small tumor without needing surgery; Inserting Feeding Tubes for stroke patients or those need additional nutrition; Placing Gastrointestinal, Biliary and Pancreatic Stents to maintain patency for feeding and relieving obstruction; Performing Enteroscopy to treat small bowel diseases, especially bleeding source that regular upper and lower scope or endoscopy cannot reach.

Our office recently acquired the Video Capsule, also known as Pillcam or Capsule Endoscopy.  This is a tiny camera, in the size of a medicine pill, that allows us to visualize the esophagus (Pillcam Eso) and small intestine (Pillcam SB) without needing any procedures or surgeries.  The study is performed within the office and the result often is available within 24 hours.

The physician is also well trained in motility disorder of the entire intestinal tract. Therefore he can perform and analyze studies and tests to diagnose and treat any illnesses such as difficulty swallowing (dysphagia), stool soiling (stool incontinence), chronic constipation, recurrent bowel obstruction, etc.
