Message from Dr. Khiem Nguyen I had a broad and comprehensive medical training. I graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School, in Norfolk, Virginia. My initial internship was in General Surgery at Staten Island University Hospital in NY. After a successful year, I went to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA, to complete my Internal Medicine residency. I achieved my Gastroenterology education at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, under the instructions of a well-known therapeutic endoscopist, Dr. George Brodmerkel. I accomplished an entire year dedicated to ERCP and other therapeutic modalities. I have had presentations at both National and Local Gastroenterological Societies and meetings.| I have been actively involved in the training of medical residents and students. I was honored with a “Teacher of the Year” award during my tenure at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Reading, PA. I intend to continue my involvement with the education of future physicians at St Lucie Medical Center. I am blessed with a wonderful wife and 3 beautiful daughters. |
